Judd: backing out because of GOP pressure?

The more I read about Judd Gregg's decision to back out after being nominated for Commerce Secretary, the more it sounds like he did so not because of any personal policy differences with Obama but because of GOP pressure. I.e. this didn't have to do with the Census. (More here, here, here, and here.)

Gregg held his press conference to announce his decision only seconds before Obama began a speech about the stimulus package!
