The bailout, two days later

It's amazing that the financial bailout bill passed by the Senate tonight is $100 billion more expensive and not really a great improvement over what the House rejected on Monday. It's unfortunate that if its passage is truly critical to salvaging our economy (and if Congress is unable or unwilling to explore alternatives) that we end up with something that is even more expensive than originally proposed.

As for the Democratic Congressional leadership, I'm particularly unimpressed by Representative Barney Frank. Which is too bad since we bat for the same team, if you know what I mean...
