Inside Hillary's mind
It occurs to me that Obama is likely to get the usual bounce in the polls now that he has secured the nomination. And with no more primaries to contest with Hillary, her supporters will begin to drift to him. Once they do, she loses her best leverage to be selected as his running mate. Let's face it: she hasn't exactly endeared herself to him these past few months.
So how to hold on to their support in order to maintain the influence that they represent? Why not leave them feeling aggrieved, believing that she's been robbed of the nomination?
It struck me last night when the cheers of "Denver!" went up during her speech in New York that someone dedicated to a Democratic victory in November would have quickly squelched that energy.
But not Hillary. Nursing that grudge is now her last shot at getting on the ticket.
Just remember two things:
She's not my patient.
And I'm not a doctor. :-)

All Hillary and Bill and their power-hungry supporters have left is fear. And I don't know how long that will work.
You can only extort people with fear for so long.
