A Canadian's perspective on Obama:

... Obama tries to get people to recognize that they will not succeed in achieving all of their policy goals, that not all solutions or resolutions will satisfy everyone, and that we can accept solutions with which we strongly disagree, so long as we are heard and respected in the political process....

Obama may not be a great man (only time and circumstance can tell us that), but he provides us with the hope that the American people are still a great force for good in the world. Let’s hope. And let’s hope that it is not a false hope.
