Palin's pipeline

A natural gas pipeline from Alaska to the lower 48 is a great idea. Palin might be given some credit for it...

Except for the fact that it looks like she rigged the bidding process to benefit a company to which her administration had ties and committed Alaska to subsidize the project by half a billion dollars. Just a few years before there had been offers from pipeline companies to do the work without any taxpayer money.

And despite Palin's hype, there's no guarantee that the pipeline will be built.
