Palin's church wants to cure us gays
The topic? Curing homosexuality.
More on Palin's religious views here.
I have to admit, I was lying in bed last night thinking about this very issue. I'm extremely concerned about how little we know about Palin. Her church apparently believes that the "end times" will come in our lifetime, and I would be frightened if someone who shared that belief was sitting in the Oval Office.
A Jewish friend of mine who doesn't know a lot about politics but generally follows the cues from her husband, a Republican, recently asked me about how I could possibly support Obama. The real question is how I could possibly support the McCain-Palin ticket and the Republican Party which are fundamentally opposed to my living a full life with equal rights under the law as a gay man.
Here's an earlier post with video of Palin speaking at her previous church, the Assembly of God, also in Wasilla.
UPDATE
When Palin was running for governor, one of her top three priorities was:
Preserving the definition of "marriage" as defined in our constitution.
