Perfect timing in Iraq

"Pack your bags, soldier, you're coming home!"

Maybe we can actually give our troops that message next year. The top U.S. general responsible for building up Iraq's own forces is reporting that the Iraqis will be manned and operational by the middle of 2009.

So... we'll have a new President in the White House, and with any luck it'll be the one who wants to bring our men and women back to their families sooner rather than later (100 years is definitely in the "later" category).
